Stillminute is in pre-release testing. This page describes the current app and website. The final Google Play privacy policy is still under review, including the retention setting for product analytics.
The short version
Your detailed phone-use and notification history stays on your phone. Optional Deep Insights shares daily totals for comparisons. Separate statistics about Stillminute itself are enabled by default and can be switched off. There are no ads, and we do not use advertising identifiers.
What stays on your device
- Phone-use events: screen activity, lock and unlock events, app usage, sessions and recording coverage, after Usage Access is granted.
- Notification records: which app sent a notification, when it arrived, changed or was removed, and a reference to its category, after Notification Access is granted.
- Your rules, exceptions, schedules, reminders, selected apps and report preferences.
- Verified subscription state. Google Play handles your payment information.
Notification titles and message text are checked when applying a rule and are not saved as notification history. We do not request contacts, camera, microphone or precise-location access. Detailed history is excluded from Android app backup and device-to-device transfer.
Optional Deep Insights
When you enable it, a profile that does not use your name or email is created with Google’s Firebase service. An eligible completed-day summary can include four totals: phone-use time, notifications received, unlocks and screen wakes while locked. It also includes the reporting date, time zone and corrections needed to interpret that day.
These summaries do not contain app names, notification text or individual event timestamps. We keep information needed to verify your app and protect your profile. Our service providers also receive your internet address. These records are linked to your profile, so they are not completely anonymous.
Summaries are stored for up to 90 days using Firebase in the United States. Comparisons use ranges and can include just one other participant; a small group may reveal the range of that person’s activity. They exclude your own accepted contribution. You can stop sharing or delete your profile from the app without Pro. Recovery transfers the contributing profile to one phone; local history is not restored from the cloud.
Product usage statistics
Google’s analytics service collects information linked to an app identifier about Stillminute itself: screen views, app opens and engagement, app/device versions and automatically collected purchase or subscription events when available. It may estimate your general location from your internet address.
These statistics do not include your other-app usage history or notification contents. They are on by default and are separate from Deep Insights. Turn them off in Help → Usage statistics. Doing so stops new collection after the setting is saved and starts a new statistics record on your phone; it does not retroactively delete events already held by Google. The configured analytics retention period is being verified before final store publication.
Retention and deletion
Phone and notification history is stored for up to 90 days. Free reports cover seven days; Pro reports cover up to 90 days. Older activity is removed when scheduled cleanup runs. You can clear local history without Pro. Settings and subscription state are separate from history.
Deep Insights deletion removes the profile’s stored summaries and access details and makes its comparisons and recovery codes unavailable. Exported files are separate copies under your control. See your deletion options, including contacting us without the app.
Subscriptions
Google Play processes subscriptions. Stillminute securely checks your purchase with Google to confirm Pro access. Clearing data or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
This website and testing registration
Cloudflare hosts this website and receives information such as your internet address to deliver and protect it. This site has no advertising, visitor analytics or tracking cookies. Registration opens on a separate site.
Testing registration opens a separate Google Form owned by Stillminute. It requires Google sign-in and collects your verified email, participation availability, and any optional phone details or feedback you provide. We use these to manage testing invitations and communicate about the testing program, not for marketing emails. Other respondents cannot see your responses. It is not collected by merely visiting this page. Contact us to request removal from the invitation list. Email support messages are processed through Google Workspace.
Complimentary tester access
Redeeming an invitation creates a tester profile with a reference to your private application, protected code identifiers, access dates, recovery transfers and reward approval. Firebase stores these records in the United States to manage access and prevent duplicate claims. Your application and contact details stay in the separate recruitment list and are not added to Deep Insights contributions. Saved codes are encrypted on your phone and excluded from Android backups.
Your 14 days begin when you redeem the invitation. After participation is confirmed, you can activate a 90-day reward. There are no automatic charges or requirements to share Deep Insights data. Recovery moves access to one phone without restarting the trial. Clearing phone history does not remove tester administration records. Contact [email protected] to request deletion of your application and tester records; we verify ownership before acting.
Children and changes
Stillminute is not directed at children under 13. Material changes will be reflected here and in relevant app notices. If you have a privacy question, email [email protected].
